Jirou Yakuin, a high school senior, was resolute in his desire to be paired with Shiori Sakurazaka for the compulsory “Couple Practical” class. This course was designed to evaluate students’ ability to cohabit with a partner of the opposite gender while maintaining a set level of harmony, monitored by video surveillance.
However, destiny had other plans for Jirou as he was instead paired with Akari Watanabe, a person who was his complete opposite. Conversely, Akari had her sights set on Minami Tenjin, her crush.
Their aspirations evaporated when they discovered that Minami and Shiori had been paired together instead. Nonetheless, Jirou and Akari chose to collaborate to strive for a position in the top ten, giving them the opportunity to exchange partners with mutual agreement.
In their pursuit, Jirou impulsively said goodbye to Akari with a kiss, oblivious to the repercussions of his actions.
